Three hikers were forced to spend a cold night on Mount Angeles in Washington when they became exhausted from lack of food and water.
Jake Robinette, 19, Amanda Roark-Lujan, 21, and Sara Winslow, 16, were out for a day hike to bag Mount Angeles, a 6,454-foot mountain near Port Angeles. Fog descended on them while they had lunch, but the three still made it to the summit.
On the way down from the mountain, they became weak due to lack of food and water. When they were no longer able to hike, they called 911 for help. Fog deterred helicopters from reaching them and the loose scree and darkness forced a ground rescue attempt to turn around.
The hikers were told to hunker down for the night. By morning, the weather cleared and a navy chopper plucked the three from the mountain. They were reconnected with their families later that afternoon.
Their condition at the time of rescue was not reported. Read the story here.

Part of your story is bullshit. They were not to weak to keep hiking. They were stranded on a ledge that was only 3 feet wide. Couldn’t go up or down. So they phoned. Get your story straight buddy!
