A pair of hikers became stuck on a ledge after wandering around Bonita Falls (pictured above) in the San Bernardino mountains.
They hiked to the lower falls but decided to climb up to the second falls. That’s when they became stuck on a ledge with no way to go up or down safely. A search and rescue team was sent to the scene and reached the stranded hikers around 8 p.m.
By 1 a.m., a sheriff’s chopper lowered two searchers to the ledge and the two were helped down the mountain. They were led to the trailhead 12 hours after the ordeal began.
One hiker was in good condition, the other suffered a pulled muscle in his right arm.
