Hiker Dies in Drakensberg Mountains, South Africa


A 68-year-old man died after falling several meters from a trail in the Drakensberg mountains (pictured above).

The man was hiking with a group when the accident happened. Authorities said that he slipped, fell and died on impact. The man is said to be an experienced hiker from a nearby town.

A chopper recovered the body and authorities launched an investigation to find the cause of the fall.
