A man suffered critical injuries after falling 50 feet from Raven Cliff Falls in White County Georgia.
Hikers in the area spotted a dog standing by the trail. When the hikers investigated, they found the man at the bottom of the embankment. They weren’t sure how long he was laying there.
One hiker went down to help the man. The others went further down the trail to get cell phone service to call 911. It took rescuers four hours to get to the falls and package him for an aerial rescue.
A spokesperson for the fire department said that this is one of many accidents at the falls this year. Read the story here.
In June, I posted a story of a man who nearly fell down the falls, but was grabbed by a mysterious man who saved his life then disappeared in the brush. Read that story here.
