A couple of hikers out on a dayhike went off trail in Jones Gap State Park, South Carolina and became lost. They were eventually found by rescuer workers around 11 p.m.
The two men were cold and thirsty, but in otherwise good condition. No friends or family reported them missing. Around 9 p.m., one of the men was able to get cell phone service and called for help. Crews were immediately dispatched and found them about 1 ½ hours later.
