An American woman, between the ages of 35 and 40, became lost after ditching her guide and choosing to hike through a white wind in Torres del Paine National Park in Chile.
The woman was visiting the area and wanted to hike to Camp Grey, a backcountry camp 1,200 meters above sea level.
The woman chose to hike without a guide on the snow-covered trail when she got hit by “white wind,” a wind that picks up the snow and essentially causes zero visibility.
The guide tried to follow the tourist, but decided to turn around when the weather turned sour. The guide notified authorities that the woman may be in trouble.
Park rangers went searching for the woman and found her a short time later. She was in good condition, but scared and cold. This was the first incident involving a lost tourist in the park. If nobody is as arrogant as this woman, hopefully it will also be the last incident of the year.

You have no idea what you are talking about. It was a porter and the porter was arrogant and did not start when he should have.
Also the weather was fine when the woman started the hike. Had the porter started when he should have, he would have been there with her and avoided this situation. Thw wind caused her
contacts to be displaced, plus with the whiteout condition, she had to go off the trail.
You should talk about things you know and not make assumptions.
