Visually Impaired Hiker Lost on AT


Who: 41-year-old Ken Knight, editor of Backpackinglight.com
Where: Punch Bowl Shelter, along the Appalachian Trail near Blue Ridge Parkway, Virginia
His mistake: It’s unknown
What happened: Ken Knight, an editor for Backpackinglight.com, is missing on the Appalachian Trail. Knight, who is legally blind, was following another group on the trail, but somehow became separated. The group last saw him Sunday at the Punch Bowl Shelter.

Multiple agencies are searching for Knight, who is described as being 5-feet, 4-inches tall and weighing 180 to 200 pounds. His last Twitter update was on Sunday.
