Who: A 53-year-old Dutch hiker
Where: Langgletscher, Swizterland
His mistake: Bad luck
What happened: A man was hiking with a friend on a glacier. On the ascent, a boulder dislodged from the glacier and struck the man in the head. The boulder also hit the man’s partner. The man struck in the head was killed instantly. His partner suffered minor injuries.
Authorities said high temperatures caused an excess snowmelt which caused the rock to be dislodged. It is unclear if authorities are blaming global warming or if this was a case of the summertime blues.

seriously? an off the cuff joke about global warming in a story when a climber died?
Yeah, that was pretty lame.
