What happened: At 5 p.m. one day, a tourist reportedly fell from some rocks during a solo hike of Stara Planina Mountain in Troyan. The regional mountain rescue service requested urgent help for the victim. 17 search and rescue experts responded to the scene, but had problems locating the woman because she didn’t take a regular path and there was no information on the location of the accident.
Eventually, the woman was found, but her body lay lifeless. Authorities said the woman died on the spot.
