Hiker Injures Leg in Hawaii Fall

Who: A man in his 50s
Where: Pauoa Flats Trail, Hawaii
His mistake: Just a simple slip
What happened: A man was hiking with a group on the Pauoa Flats Trail. About one mile in at the top of Tantalus, the man slipped and injured his leg. He was unable to continue on the trail.

Authorities were called. The man’s injuries were not life threatening and he was conscious the entire time. But due to his location in steep terrain, the man was airlifted out and taken to a local hospital.
