What happened: A woman was on a rock climb or scramble up Cyrn Las when she slipped and landed on a “precarious ledge. The woman suffered a deep injury in her thigh in the fall.
A chopper from the Royal Air Force was sent to the scene and sent rescuers down on a 150-foot rope to rescue the woman. She was then transported to a hospital for treatment. This was the Royal Air Force’s chopper 200th rescue of 2009.
