Hiker Missing in Mt. Loop Highway Wilderness

Where: Mt. Loop Highway wilderness, Snohomish County, Washington
His mistake: It’s unknown
What happened: A 59-year-old hiker went on a solo one-week hike in the Mt. Loop Highway area. He was supposed to return Monday, but didn’t show up. His concerned girlfriend immediately called authorities.

Search and rescue crews began looking for the man. They located his car at a trailhead, but didn’t find any sign of the hiker. Crews are continuing to search by land and air. Authorities said the hiker is experienced and well-equipped for a long stay in the wilderness.
