Two Lost Hikers on Mt. Bogong Found Safe

Who: A 31-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl
Where: Mt. Bogong, Victoria, Australia
Their mistake: They just got lost
What happened: Three hikers were out for a trip on Mt. Bogong in Victoria Australia’s high country. During the hike, the father of the 15-year-old girl became separated from the group. He was unable to reconnect with them, but was able to find his way back to the trailhead.

When he didn’t see his friend and daughter, he reported them missing. A search and rescue team responded and were able to reach the two hikers. They were in good condition and had extra gear including sleeping bags, tent, water and food.
